The United Church of Warner will host a Potluck Lunch & Open House to welcome new residents to the area. Come and join us for lunch at 11:30 and stay for the Open House from 1-3 PM, where we'll tour our 200 year+ old Church and Parish House. (Kids get to ring the church bell!) All are welcome.

From the Tax Collector's Office:
The second of the two 2025 property tax bills have now been mailed to property owners. The second bill is calculated as the tax rate times the property assessment, divided by 1000, minus the amount of the first bill. The new tax rate of $17.32 ($18.92 for those in the Warner Village Water District) and the new property assessments were used in the calculation.
For some owners, the second tax bill is less than or about the same as the first bill. However, there are several property owners whose bills are significantly higher due to updated assessments.
[Newsletter editor's reminder: The 2024 tax rate was $30.90, and so June 2025's tax bills showed $15.45 which was the half-year equivalent rate]
If a property owner believes that their taxes are not in accordance with the property value of their home, that the assessment may contain an error or omission, or they are unable to pay taxes due to poverty or other good cause, they have the right to apply in writing for an abatement or deferral by March 1, 2026. This, as well as processing of all tax exemptions and credits, is done through the Assessing Office, not the Tax Office.
Anyone who does not receive their property tax bill by Monday, November 10 is asked to reach out to the Tax Office for another copy. Payments are due by December 11.

Snow is coming!? Winter Parking Ban: The Town of Warner's Parking Ordinance is in effect and states that no vehicle may be left on any street, road, or highway in the Town of Warner between the hours of 12:00 a.m. midnight and 6:00 a.m., from November 1st until May 1st of each year. Any vehicle found to be in violation of this ban will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

"During the government shutdown, if you have a 2025 health insurance plan, continue using your plan and providers. If you don’t have a plan, you can use this site [above] to apply for and access coverage."

Warner Fire Rescue wishes to thank the Warner McDonalds restaurant for donating food to first responders working on a forest fire at Breezy Hollow last month.
Warner Fire Rescue's new design shirts will be for sale during the Turkey Raffle.

Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum HOURS CHANGE: From November through April, the museum will be open Fridays and Saturdays. Hours will be 10-4, with tours at 10:30 and 1:30. MKIM's annual Autumn Online Auction, started Saturday, Nov. 1.

Calling all actors and actresses! If you love, or want to try theater, please contact Miss Sue. We need more kids to join the cast for the next play A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (adapted by K. S. Miller) to be presented May 9 at Town Hall. Rehearsals will be Wednesdays at 3 pm, Jan.-May.
November 3-8 is Children's Book Week. Miss Sue has won a Dav Pilkey Program event box. Prizes, stickers, and cookies at noon on Sat. Nov. 8.

It's time to sign-up for skiing and snowboarding. This WYSA organized program runs from Thursday, 1/8/26 - 2/5/26. Instruction is provided by Pats Peak followed by an hour of free skiing with WYSA Chaperones. Parents must provide transportation.
