Come view the Festival of Trees inside Warner Town Hall, open every day 8 am -7 pm until January 4. Decorated by local groups. While there, write a thank you to Town Employees and officials to post on the inner door!

Dec. 20 Annual Community Sing: caroling at Waterloo covered bridge, 6:45pm. Next clear evening if bad weather. Led by Kendra West-Senor. Lyric sheets available - or bring your own. Bring a flashlight and wrap up warmly!

Warner Fall Foliage Festival grant requests, approved Wed. Dec. 17 by attendees:
Habitat For Humanity: $4500 towards a roof replacement for a Warner family.
The Town of Warner Emergency Management and Fire Department: $1000 for a replacement television for emergency operations
Main Street Warner: $5,500 for new lighting around the Jim Mitchell Community Park & Amphitheater
Warner Connects Food Pantry: $820.81 replacement grocery carts for the food pantry delivery team.
Warner Family Closet: 127.94 for new display stand and mannequin.
Friends of the Concord/Lake Sunapee Rail Trail: $2,000 for continued construction along the rail trail from Tom pond road to route 103
New Hampshire Telephone Museum: $1,064 for a new AED machine and installation
Food for Thought: $3,000 towards providing supplementary food for local school children.
KCLT: $2,000 to to repair plumbing at the Foster farm

Warner Food Pantry will be closed the week of Dec. 22-26. Opening at 3pm on Tues. Dec. 30. Office hours for drop-offs are now only Tues. and Wed. 10am -1 pm
December Property Tax Payments were due Dec. 11: Late payments are now being charged 8% annual interest. What does that mean? How does one calculate the actual total amount due?
1) Calculate the number of days payment is overdue. For example, if sending payment on December 21, the number of days overdue is 10.
2) Multiply the original amount due by 0.08 to calculate the annual interest. Divide that annual interest by 365 to calculate the daily interest. Then, multiply the daily fee by the number of days overdue to get the interest due.
3) Add the interest due to the amount of your property tax bill.
The late fee due is calculated as of the postmarked envelope or in-person payment. Partial payments are allowed. The Tax Office can also accept payments by credit card in person and over the telephone. warnernh.gov/departments/taxes/
The Supervisors of the Checklist will meet in a Public Session on the 2nd floor of the Warner Town Hall from 10 to 11 AM on Friday, January 2, 2026.

From Parks and Rec: THANK YOU!!!! To all the people who helped get the rink liner and rink together, and the Fire Dept for filling it - for 2 days!
Looking ahead at the warmer weather, the Ice Rink at Bagley Park will be closed through Friday this week. Please stay off the ice during the warmer weather. Once the ice is hard again, we will open the gate again.
Looking for some gently used ice skates for our community to use. If you have some sitting around in good shape please donate them. These can be dropped off in the Warming Hut at Bagley Park off Route 103.

NH Telephone Museum
The New Hampshire Telephone Museum has received a grant from the Warner Fall Foliage Festival Committee to support the purchase of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a critical, life-saving medical device that will enhance safety for visitors, staff, volunteers and community members.
Dec. hours: Saturday 10 am-2 pm and Tuesday 10-4. January- April Hours: Fridays 10-4 and Saturdays, 10 am-2 pm
Warner Firefighters Museum is open Sat. 10 am to 3pm December 20.
Saturday Night Communion In The Chapel at United Church of Warner. at the back entrance of the Parish House, The first Sat every month, at 4 PM.

The Friends of the Bradford Town Hall Theater are kicking things off with a staged reading of Rebecca Rule’s play, “Town Meeting,” just in time for Bradford’s Town Meeting in March! We are currently searching for actors to perform this staged reading, as well as behind-the-scenes and front of house support. There’s a role for everyone to play! Auditions and info session on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026 at 2pm at the Bradford Town Hall Theater. The show is set for Friday, March 6, 2026 at 7pm with a snow date of March 7.

We need a few more kids to join the cast for the next play A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens (adapted by K. S. Miller) to be presented May 9 at Town Hall. Rehearsals Wednesdays at 3 pm, Jan.-May.

This year's Ladybug Award books are here. They are all available to take out. If you haven't voted for your favorite, Miss Sue has a sheet on her desk to cast a vote. Soon we will know which one wins to be the Ladybug book of the year!

On modern social media platforms, we spend surprisingly little time engaging with content from the people who matter most to us. On Instagram, only about 7 percent of time is spent viewing posts from friends and family (approximately 14 percent on Facebook).
More importantly, social media algorithms are designed to capture and hold attention.
Common Sense Media surveyed pre-adult teens and discovered that half of the teen respondents used AI chatbots for companionship because they offered safer and more accepting alternatives to risk-filled human relationships.
