Mt. Kearsarge PARK CLOSURE: Paving started September 9 at Rollins State Park parking lot and the park will be closed for the week. Please check for updates.
The Economic Development Advisory Committee held an open house at the Warner Community Center on Thurs., Sept.12. A “Listening Session” will be held at Town Hall on Thurs. Sept. 26 at 7:00 to discuss the future of the Community Center. Results of the 2024 Warner Community Center Survey can be found here.
Town of Warner is seeking a full-time Transfer Station attendant. Openings are also available in Police and Public Works warnernh.gov/job-openings/
On Saturday, September 14 at 10:30am at the Warner Police Station, three trees will be planted to celebrate Warner’s 250th. UNH’s Extension Service and the State's Division of Lands and Forests will be there with specially selected trees, to guide and assist the planting. The community is encouraged and welcome to attend!
During this initial symbolic planting commemorating Warner’s 250th, the State Foresters will also give public instruction about the proper planting and care of young trees.

Warner’s 250th committee Incorporation Day Community Picnic at Riverside Park on Saturday, September 14, from 4 to 6:00 pm. We will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian alternatives, chips and water. Last names A-M, please bring a side dish to share, N-Z a dessert. Please nothing with peanuts! The Hopkinton Town Band will begin playing at 4:30 pm. Remarks at 5 pm. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket. Limited onsite parking. Carpool, park at Mentis Sciences, Inc. or the lot by Pine Grove Cemetery. This event is free and sponsored by the 250th committee, Greenleaf Irrigation and GRVL Cycling. 250th Birthday Scavenger Hunt Raffle prizes will also be awarded on Sept. 14.
The summer exhibit at the Upton Chandler House Museum Celebrating Warner’s 250th Birthday is open Tuesdays from 1 – 4 pm and Saturdays from 10 am until 1 pm through the Fall Foliage Festival weekend. Admission free. "03278 - 250th Birthday" T-shirts are for sale at Warner Historical Society along with WHS swag.
The Warner Post Office has a 250th Warner postmark for mail handed to the clerk.

Warner Historical Society Annual Meeting and Book Release Party:
October 3, 7pm at Warner Town Hall. A short Annual Meeting followed by a party to celebrate the re-release of Carl Malmberg's 1974 history of the town, "Warner, New Hampshire 1880-1974". A dedicated committee diligently re-typed the text, updated the index and added new photos. Malmberg's history has been out of print for years.

Window Dressers "Warm Windows" Community Build
REGISTRATION IS OPEN here for YOU to sign up for a 4-hour shift helping to create insulated custom storm window inserts during the Window Dressers Community Build Nov. 14-20 at St. Andrews Church in New London. KNP will partner with Kearsarge Climate Action to provide 250 low-cost window inserts, keeping area homes warmer, saving heating costs and lowering CO2 emissions. Volunteer as a shift supervisor, window builder, greeter, food provider, or to supply transportation. All training is provided.

Miss Sue's News (for Kids) | |
Preschooler Story times with Miss Sue are held every Thursday at 10:30 am - stories, songs, finger-plays, and a craft. This program is held in the Children's Room.

The first of this school year's After School Monthly Craft time is next week, September 17th, 3-4:00. You must let Miss Sue and Mrs. Grimes know if your child will be participating. Miss Sue gets the children from Simonds and we have the activity here at the library. Parents or guardians pick up at the library at 4:00. The theme this month is Autumn.

Miss Sue is planning on continuing the POKEMON CLUB. It will start in October. We are hoping to find one or two teens to help and who know how to play the game. It's just 2 hours a month on a Tuesday, and you get your community service qualification. You must be 14 to volunteer at the library. This club is for any child who is a Kindergartener or older. Miss Sue does go to Simonds and brings the group to the library. Homeschoolers are always welcome too.

Library Trustee meetings include the Monthly Board Meeting on the third Tuesday of each month (at 6:30 pm, in person). Various Committee meetings, some that meet monthly, vary in meeting schedules.

Warner 4-H Club has changed the dates of Oct. & Nov. meetings to October 7 and November 4 to avoid meeting on the holidays. Same time and place: 6:30 - 7:30 PM at the United Church of Warner. Ages 8-18 welcome.
The Oct 7 meeting will allow us to work on items needed for the Fall Festival Parade float, and Nov. 4 will be Achievement Night.
