Warner’s Post #39 American Legion seeks to recruit a few patriotic veterans to help with our annual Memorial Day fundraiser.  On May 22, 23, and 24 (Thurs., Fri., Sat.) we will be selling traditional poppies at three Exit 9 locations: Dunkin, Irving Circle K, and the NH State Liquor Store. If you would like to help by manning a table for a couple of hours or more and help your fellow veterans, please call Phil Stockwell (456-3980) and reserve your time slot.  All proceeds benefit local vets and their families.

A shout-out to Patty Anderson who will be retiring from running the Family Closet Thrift Boutique in June after dedicating a HUGE amount of time and effort for several years to make this a viable source of income to support the Warner Food Pantry. Hard shoes to fill!

The public is invited, and any location with an AED on site is highly encouraged to send people. For ”handout” purposes, please let the library know if you expect to attend.

Typical topics covered: NH statewide AED Program update, NH AED medical/legal protections, review of the AED equipment, and demonstration of the AED utilizing an AED trainer unit. The “Q & A” discussion format lasts 3/4- 1 hour

PRELIMINARY FLOOD PLAIN MAPS update: 90 DAY APPEAL OPEN. Any owner or lessee of real property in Warner who believes their property rights will be adversely affected by the proposed flood hazard determinations may appeal to the Town of Warner.

The appeal data must be submitted to FEMA by the Town of Warner by June 4, 2025.

The next, and last After School Craft for this school year is Wednesday, May 21st, 3-4:15 at the NH Telephone Museum. The theme is Morse Code. Register with Miss Sue and let Mrs. Grimes know if your child is a Simonds student.

The Play was a BIG success! Thank you to all the actors, families, staff, and supporters. We collected 160 items and $48.00 for the food pantry. The 15 minute bake sale at intermission for the library made $158.00. It was a lot of fun and we are all looking forward to next year!

Warner Democrats Pie Sale: homemade fruit pies for a fundraiser on Flag Day, Saturday, June 14th from 9 am until noon at the Warner Area Farmer's Market. Pies will be sold by the slice as well as whole, to raise funds for the Warner Democrats group. Preference for pies that don't require refrigeration such as apple, blueberry, and cherry.
