The Library's Annual Fund Appeal donations are coming in daily! Thank you to all the donors who make it possible to add services and make building improvements beyond what tax appropriation covers. Donations can be sent to Pillsbury Free Library, PO Box 299, Warner NH 03278.
Roof work! The high winds earlier in the month lifted one side of a large section of copper roof ridge and bent it over to the opposite side of the historic building! Luckily we were able to get a rapid response from contractors via Melanson Roofing to re-install it and also address some slate and sealant work that were on our list to do. These are the kinds of expenses that can be covered if needed, thanks to donations, bequests, and Capital Reserve funds. Thank you!
New Computers! By next week our 3 new computers and 2 notebook laptops purchased with a 2021 NH Charitable Fund Grant for Library Technology will be ready for use by visitors. The notebooks are small enough to use in the sound- muffling privacy booths for anyone who needs to use our computers for telehealth, business meetings, or other work needing privacy or low-distraction space to work.
Freebies! Stop by and look, then put your name in to win a drawing for free items:
Desktop computers - with Windows 10 (not upgradable to 11). Keyboard and mouse, and monitor included. They are a little slow on startup,..but perhaps better than none? We have 8 Windows 10 desktops and ONE Windows laptop.
Furniture: two study desk/ carrels, and a double sided tapered shelf unit that fits paperbacks, DVDs or Game boxes but not most hardcover books.

Merrimack County and all other NH counties' risk except Rockingham is at LOW this week (based on hospitalizations as well as case rates per 100,000). Transmission risk source: CDC covid-19 data tracker site https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view. However, Flu and RSV are filling the hospitals so masking may still be wise!
