Revaluation Property Visits: Avitar started visiting properties week and will be around for the next couple of weeks. They are in a white Honda CR-V car with 'Avitar Associates' on both sides, they will also have a badge. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Elizabeth Labbe at Town Hall at 603-456-2298 Ext 3. If you are unsure about the visitors, you can contact the Warner Police Department at 693-456-3433 - they have the license plate numbers and names.
Electric supply and delivery rate increases began with the August bill. Community Power basic rates changed from 8.2c to 8.6c/kWh. Eversource's are now 10.4c/kWh. Distribution charges will also rise. See www.communityPowerNH.gov/warner for info.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event Saturday, September 7, 2024, 9:00 am - Noon, Warner Highway Garage, 190 Rt 103 West. (Next to the Transfer station)
What to Bring: Household cleaners, solvents, polish, pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, oil based paints, stains, varnishes, adhesives, paint remover, oil based driveway sealer, photo and hobby chemicals, mercury containing devices, old fuel and fuel additives.
What NOT to bring: Ammunition, explosives, radioactive materials, medical wastes, fire extinguishers, smoke and CO detectors, propane tanks, batteries, latex paint.

Warner Parks and Recreation Committee - is looking for additional members. The committee keeps programs and our parks going, in coordination with the Public Works Department. It involves a low time commitment, meeting once a month, with no meetings in summer. The State Primary Election Day is Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Town Hall will be open for voting from 7 AM until 7 PM. If you are unable to be present, you may submit an Absentee Ballot Request Form to obtain an Absentee Ballot. The absentee ballot request form should be delivered to the Town Clerk's office either in person, by fax to 603-456-2297, or by mail to Town Clerk, Town of Warner, PO Box 265, Warner, NH 03278. The Supervisors of the Checklist will meet in the Town Hall on Friday, August 30 at 10:00am. New registrations and changes to the Voter Checklist will be done at this time. NO Party Changes can be made. If you are unable to climb the stairs to our office, we will be glad to meet with you downstairs.

Warner Public Market NEW WEEKEND HOURS: opening at 10 instead of 9. Closing time will not change. Grab and go breakfast burritos, sandwiches, etc. and the Salad Bar, are being discontinued to reduce food waste. Baked goods are back in full swing.
Hot soups, stews, etc WILL RETURN when weather cools. In the meantime we will do our best to restock our frozen soups and stews, but are busy making JAM! RAW MILK - Going forward, will be stocked ONLY TO ORDER, orders due by Saturday.

The United Church of Warner, together with the Historical Society, will be hosting their annual worship service at the Lower Warner Meeting House on Sunday, August 25 at 10 AM. Light refreshments. Tours of the meeting house after the service until 1 pm.
"Messy Worship: Creative Praise and Play." One Sunday a month at the United Church of Warner starting August 25, from 12-2 PM. Children and adults of all ages are welcome for snacks, songs and worship-inspired arts and crafts. Projects include Tibetan prayer flags, message rocks, trees and leaves, and Dia de Los Muertos shrines.

DayStar Builders have begun renovating the MainStreet Warner Lodge, formerly known as the Harris Masonic Lodge, in the center of town. MainStreet Warner’s goal is to preserve this historic building so that it once again can serve as a community center with a refurbished meeting room and community kitchen, and an indoor performance venue.

250th Birthday Celebrations | |

Hurry to complete your 250th Birthday Scavenger Hunt during the month of August. Pick up your clues and directions at the Pillsbury Free Library or Sugar River Bank anytime in August. Raffle prizes to be awarded on Sept. 14 at Incorporation Day.
Warner’s 250th committee is excited to announce an Incorporation Day Community Picnic at Riverside Park on September 14, 2024 from 3:30-6:00 pm. We will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian alternatives, chips and water. Last names beginning with A-M, please bring a side dish to share, N-Z a dessert. Please nothing with peanuts! The Hopkinton Town Band will begin playing at 4 pm. Remarks at 5. Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket. Limited onsite parking. Park at Mentis Sciences, Inc. or the lot by Pine Grove Cemetery. Shireen just broke up with Chris, but neither girl is happy about it; and they both end up competing in the Junior Irish Baking Show! Shireen's summer is full of highs and lows: confusion, attraction, racism, jealousy, sabotage, and lots and lots of puns! In the end Shireen's dreams come true, but not in the way she predicted.

Library Trustee meetings include the Monthly Board Meeting on the third Tuesday of each month (at 6:30 pm, in person). Various Committee meetings, some that meet monthly, vary in meeting schedules.
