Halloween Trick or Treat in Warner is held October 31, starting at 5 pm.
Get ready to change clocks back 1 hour on Sunday, November 3.
Town offices, library and Bank will be closed Mon. Nov. 11 (Veterans' Day).

Halloween planning? Warner traditionally celebrates Trick or Treat on the actual day, October 31, at 5-8 pm. Be aware, fiber "web" decorations outdoors trap birds!
Dunkins at Exit 9 in Warner will be hosting a TRUNK OR TREAT from 5pm to 7pm
Double Clear Farm will be hosting a Haunted Barn SATURDAY OCTOBER 26 10am to 3 pm to benefit BITSetc (Back in the Saddle) Therapeutic Riding Center. Kid friendly (No blood/gore- think spooky fun). Candy, trick or treating, pirate ships, crafts, petting animals and more!! Come out for a fun time and help raise funds for great program. Teenagers that need volunteer hours-this is great opportunity-reach out to Double Clear Farm 244 Schoodac Road, Warner, 603-456-2761. (bitsetc.org)

NH Parks currently offer Day-Use admission at no charge to Active Military and NH National Guard personnel. Due to a legislative amendment to House Bill 1179-FN, it now includes Retired NH Veterans and their spouse or surviving spouse.
Veterans are considered retired after 20 years of service in the armed forces. Military ID and proof of NH residence are required for free admission. Thank you for your service
Warner’s American Legion Post #39 and the 250th Birthday Committee are sponsoring a Veterans Day Dinner on November 11 at 5:30pm at the Warner Town Hall. The menu will be roasted pork and/or chicken with sides. Veterans are free, and the cost for others is $20. The post will have a short business meeting and present citations for longevity to post members. Crew members from the USS Kearsarge will be there. Ted Young will present a slide program on the history of the post. All are welcome.

We spoke too soon. TDS Telecom SAID they fixed the issue of their addresses blocking our newsletter. but no luck last week.They said it was triggered by a TDS customer tagging it as Spam. If you have a TDS- based email and are no longer getting this newsletter it is being blocked by TDS: if you feel like contacting them it might help us get this resolved sooner.
NOTE: if you don't wish to receive emails from ANY valid nonprofit or business, look for the "unsubscribe" link at the end of the email and use that, so they don't suffer like us!

The Town of Warner is seeking a Part time Landuse Secretary, a Police officer, a full-time Transfer Station attendant, and Full time DPW crew member with CDL. warnernh.gov/job-openings/
New Hampshire State Police is seeking additional witnesses of a reported road rage incident involving a gun on Interstate 89. At 6:10 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, State Police received a report that the driver of a black Honda sedan with New York license plates had shown another driver a firearm as both were traveling northbound on I-89 in Warner. Troopers later located and stopped the driver of the Honda in Lebanon. Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum is hosting the 3rd Annual Beadstock on Saturday, November 2, to celebrate traditional beads and beadwork with vendors, demonstrations, speakers, and three unique workshops!

Students: it’s time to sign-up for skiing and snowboarding. This WYSA organized program runs from Thursday, 1/2/25 to 1/30/25. Instruction is provided by Pats Peak followed by an hour of free skiing with WYSA Chaperones. Parents must provide own transportation. Registration opens in November through the Pats Peak website.
