Friend of the School Award Nomination

In 2015, the district unveiled the Marie Huenefeld Friend of the School Award to recognize individuals in our community who make significant contributions to our school district with their time, service and/or expertise to create a better experience for our students and make us an even better school district.

As the namesake, Marie Huenefeld was the 2015 recipient, followed by Rusty Wilson in 2016, Don Gurney in 2017, Chandra Buswell in 2018, Jack Smith in 2019, Nancy Eigel-Miller in 2021, Bill Flynn in 2022, Steve Spooner in 2023 and Chief Richard Hines in 2024

We are now accepting nominations for the 2025 honoree, to be named in May. Nominations will be open until April 10th.
