A Note From Guidance
Important Message to the Parents of the Rising Senior Class:
Dear Parents of the Rising Senior Class,

Congratulations, your children have made it to their final year of high school and will soon be off to college!

A lot of exciting things will be happening this coming school year! Along with this excitement comes a lot of hard work. To prepare our rising seniors for the hard work that comes along with the college application process the Guidance Department at Coyle and Cassidy has created a timeline of what to expect each month during their senior year. Parents and students should review, this time line and make themselves familiar with each months goals. Rising seniors should already be working on their brag sheets and are encouraged to start the common application this summer.

Additionally, this year, I will be creating a google classroom that the entire Senior class will have access to. In this classroom, students will be able to ask questions to myself and their peers. More importantly, I will be posting regularly to remind them of upcoming important dates and will post important documents such as their "Senior Timeline".

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with each of your children and seeing them reach their goals.

Thank you,

Alexandra Araujo
High School Guidance Counselor
Please Keep in Mind:
Coyle and Cassidy Guidance Department has an open door policy. If any student wishes to speak with Ms. Araujo or Ms. LaPann, please stop by in the morning and ask for a pass from Mrs. Chaves. We are ALL here to help support the students academic success & emotional wellness. Thank you!

End of the Year School Prayer
God of all beginnings and endings,
we praise and thank you for the gift of this school year.

It has been a time filled with grace and blessings,
with challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows.
We ask you to bless our students, O Lord, as they prepare for their exams.

May your Spirit inspire them with confidence and calmness. Bless our families and staff during their summer vacations. May their time together leave them with many happy memories to cherish. We pray that you continue to nourish our school community in wisdom, knowledge, and love.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Prayer Request
Please keep in your prayers the members of our school community who will travel to Detroit, Michigan, June 23 - 28, 2019, to serve some of our most vulnerable neighbors in need with the Catholic high school service organization, Young Neighbors in Action. May they return to us spiritually and emotionally renewed and enriched as their commitment to faith and justice is deepened.
A Message From The Coyle Athletic Association (CCAA)
The CCAA raises funds to supplement the Athletic Department and all funds raised go directly to our student athletes. All help is greatly appreciated.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!
An Important Message From Jo’Ann Allen RN BSN MEd
Dear Parent/ Guardian,

The end of the school year is fast approaching. Please note that your child has medication in school that needs to be picked up no later than the day school ends. This year that date will be June 12, 2019.

Please note that your child’s medication will be destroyed the day after school ends if it is not picked up.

If your child is returning to Coyle Cassidy next year then our school requires that the following forms must be on file in your child’s health record before we begin to give medication at school.

We will need a new Medication Order from your physician. We will also need a new signed and dated Parental Permission Form. These forms can be downloaded from our website during the summer.

The forms and the medication must be brought to school by a parent/guardian, or responsible adult on the first day of the start of the new school year. All medications must be given to the nurse in a labeled pharmacy bottle. When having your prescriptions filled, request a second container to be used for school purposes.

Please do not put medication in a baggie. No medication will be administered if it is not in the original container. Please note: pharmacy containers are not a substitute for the prescription orders.

All medications will be stored in the health office. Under no circumstances should any student be in possession of prescription or non-prescription medication during the school day, at any sponsored school event, or on school premises. Violations will be handled according to the school Drug and Alcohol Policy.

Please see the Student Handbook for our medication policies.
Have a wonderful, fun filled family summer!!

 Respectfully,
