2022 GAO-USACE BIG CHAPTER ORATORICAL COMPETITION
THEME:
Black Health and Wellness
ELIGIBILITY:
Freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior (9th through 12th grades) high school students currently enrolled in Washington, DC, public and charter high schools are eligible to participate.
GUIDELINES:
Students will conduct theme-based research and submit a double-spaced typewritten essay of 700 to 1,000 words expressing their individual thoughts and ideas related to the theme.
Mandatory Contest Dates:
All participants must submit a Notice of Intent to Participate form with their completed essays by Thursday, February 10, 2022.

The preliminary round will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022,

If selected as a finalist, the final round will be held virtually on Thursday, February 24, 2022. Details regarding the virtual final round will be provided closer to the event’s scheduled date.

All finalists will be notified by 4 pm on February 21, 2022.
