Why We Need to Understand Critical Theory
By John Morrison
In his last message to the Russian people before his exile from his homeland, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn challenged his fellow Russians with the title of his last essay, "Live Not by Lies." Christians, both individually and collectively, are charged with God’s call to be people of “the truth” in a world of darkness and devil-inspired lies.

We are incredibly grateful for a very quiet month COVID-wise, but that does not mean we will let down our guard. Our goal is to be in-person without interruption, so if you or anyone you know needs to get tested, a few of our staff are recommending the free, self-administered nasal swab testing at CVS in Staunton ot at Rockingham Co. Fairgrounds (4808 South Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801), every Monday from 2-6 PM.

Part-Time Cleaning Positions Available
Tuition Work Credit (TWC) was established to help parents offset the cost of tuition by performing weekly tasks at the school. Most of the jobs consist of cleaning our buildings. If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, please email Randy Knight at [email protected]. There are a limited number of openings, and we will make offers on a first come, first served basis.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
No School for Students
Tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 6, from 1:30-5:00 PM, parents are encouraged to meet with teachers to review the 1st quarter and prepare for the rest of the school year.
We ask that as early as possible this evening (11/5/20), ideally as close to 7:00 PM as possible, parents/guardians click the button below to schedule appointments with their student's/s' teachers.
It will be helpful for parents to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to their first conference so that they can park, enter through the front entrance, and have their temperature taken.

Mrs. Donna Kocka has been a blessing to our art students and was an answer to prayer as we were in need of an art teacher just days before the beginning of the school year. She did this sacrificially, as she already had a very busy schedule and stressed that she would only be able to do this for a short time.
We are looking for qualified individuals interested in teaching Introductory Art (Mondays & Tuesdays) and Advanced Art (Thursdays & Fridays) from 2:35-3:20 during this school year. Interested candidates should email our HS principal with a cover letter and a resume/CV. We would also appreciate help from the GCS community with spreading the word about this opportunity.
