Good Gifts
By Kristen Lihos, Advancement Director
A GCS student broke her thumb in the gaga ball pit last week. It’s not the first broken bone on our elementary school playground, and it’s probably not the last. As I was texting with her mom about the injury...
Katherine Smith, 5th grade, shows off her gaga pit war wound.

Opportunity to Offset the Cost of Tuition
We are in the process of planning transportation needs for the 2021-2022
school year. The bus driver who has driven for the school over the past
several years will not be returning, so we will need to find new drivers.
Driving opportunities will include the Waynesboro bus route, field trips, and some shuttling of students from campus to campus or to the activities center. To drive the bus you must possess a CDL license and a passenger bus endorsement. These credentials can be obtained online through the DMV website. If you are interested in driving for the school or know someone who might be interested, call Randy Knight for more details. 540-430-6918 or [email protected]
Tuition-Assistance Application Deadline
2021-2022 tuition-assistance application deadline is April 16. Please contact Lina Smith with questions at [email protected].
Elementary/Middle School News
Please help remind your students to bring in their water bottles.
This will be especially important during IOWA testing, as we will be unable to interrupt a class to deliver a water bottle that has been forgotten.
ACHIEVEMENT TESTING

The IOWA tests are coming up! Please do not schedule any appointments for your child on the following dates (testing will be finished by noon each day).
Grades 1-3: April 21 - April 30
Grades 4-8: April 26 - April 30

Click here for details from Mrs. Morel.
PRE-K - 3rd Grade GRANDPARENTS' DAY
Parents of Pre-K through 3rd-grade students should have received an email earlier this week with information about our Grandparents' Day, which is scheduled for Friday, May 7th. Please submit the names and addresses of two grandparents or special guests. We are emphasizing the importance of only giving us two names per family so that we are in compliance with current gathering restrictions.
High School News
Math Lab
Students now have an additional opportunity to receive assistance with math during the school day, including being able to work on assigned problems with a teacher who provides immediate feedback and additional instruction.

These labs are scheduled during 6th period on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:30-3:20 PM.

If you have questions about this, please email Mrs. Leetun.
