Hope in the MisInformation Age (Part 2)
By Brian Fitzgerald, Discipleship Director
|
“Always be prepared,” Peter says, “to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” Who’s asking you that question?
In the misinformation age, there’s no shortage of access to information, opinion, and speculation on every subject, issue, and idea in our world. We’re only a few words in a search engine away from knowing something about anything. But where do we turn for hope?

The End of the Year is in Sight!
*If your student has been working on the Honors Reading Program, please don't forget to send in their completed forms by May 14th.
*If you are interested in summer workbooks for your students, here are two options:
- Vacation Stations (rising 1st-rising 6th grade) - Students can sharpen their academic skills and prepare for the next grade by doing just two pages a day of math, language, and reading reviews, and parents have a fun way to help their children do meaningful, grade-appropriate practice. Daily work to include both math and language arts.
- Tri-C Summer Skills - Single-subject workbooks in which students can work 10-20 minutes a day, 4 times a week on math or language arts.
If you have questions about these books, please feel free to call the office. If you would like to order books, please fill out the form below and return it to the school by May 10th with a check for the appropriate amount.
*Please complete the form and send it to the office by May 10th.*

Physical Science Projects
|
|
Our freshmen students have worked on multiple projects in recent weeks, as they have applied what they have learned in class to create working models.
|
|
Students now have an additional opportunity to receive assistance with math during the school day, including being able to work on assigned problems with a teacher who provides immediate feedback and additional instruction.
These labs are scheduled during 6th period on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:30-3:20 PM. If you have questions about this, please email Mrs. Leetun.

Teen Leadership Camps @ Patrick Henry College
|
|
Patrick Henry College is once again hosting their Teen Leadership Camps this summer on-campus and in-person! Each one of these week-long camps provides students ages 14-18 the opportunity to engage with like-minded peers and world-class professors in exploring an exciting subject of their choice. PHC's Teen Camps are a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, learn new things, and spend the summer growing in your relationship with Christ.
If you have any questions, you can pass them along to teencamps@phc.edu, or give our Teen Camp Coordinator, Nathan Pipkin, a call at 540-441-8105.
