While we are back to normal hours, our teachers, staff, and administrators are in the midst of orientation and training sessions, so our response time may be a bit slower than we prefer.

For 2021 summer reading, each rising 9th-12th grader is provided a copy of a literary work to read and an accompanying assignment to complete by September 8. See details below.

Safety and thoughtfulness (especially of our neighbors) must always be more important than being on time or other considerations.

You can drop off your student(s) as early as 7:30 AM, which is when the Locker Room Entrance will be opened. If you arrive after 8:00 AM, please enter through the front door.

School is dismissed at 3:20 on "Full Days" and 12:20 on "Early Dismissal Days"; however, parents are encouraged to stagger their arrival time to pick up their student(s) between 5-10 minutes after these times. Students will be supervised for 15 minutes at which time any remaining students will need to re-enter the building until their ride arrives.

Rather than waiting until the morning of the first day of school to get situated, come to the school on Wednesday, August 18, to locate and set up your locker, obtain your class schedule and other information, as well as see some of your GCS friends.

All students may come between 1:00 and 3:00 PM.

After hearing wondrous stories from your teenager about how enjoyable her/his first day was, come see for yourself your student's teachers, classrooms, etc. on Thursday, August 19, beginning at 6:30 PM.

After starting with a general session, you will then go through your student's Wednesday classes.

To wrap up the evening, a meeting of all senior families will be held to provide information about the various events for the seniors, beginning with the Senior Retreat (August 26 & 27) and culminating with Graduation (May 28).
