A Message from The Principal
|
|
Dear Parents,
We’ve had a busy week here at Coyle and Cassidy! Krystal Hilton, MSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at Morton Hospital spoke with our students about an exciting internship opportunity. Internships are tailored to meet the interests of students and include both medical and non-medical fields. This is a great opportunity for our students to become acquainted with many career opportunities. Coyle and Cassidy High School and Middle School is proud to participate in the Box of Joy Program sponsored by Cross Catholic Outreach. Leanna Holmes, Development Officer for Cross Catholic recently spoke to our students about this wonderful program which provides joy and support to children in third world countries. Students who wish to participate will be given a small shoe sized box to fill with small toys, school supplies or hygiene items. A small donation of $9 is also requested in order to process and ship the boxes. These “boxes of joy” will then be shipped to third world countries and delivered to children in need. Two dollars is given directly to the community where the children live. This gift means so much to a child who has so little. To learn more about this program please go to
www.CrossCatholic.org
. Our student recruitment team under the direction of Ms. Brooke Bigda has been very busy visiting schools and Faith Formation Programs. The students are amazing ambassadors for our school. We are very excited about our upcoming Open House on 10/20 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and on 10/29 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Please help us spread the word!
Thank you all for your attendance at last evening’s parent teacher conferences. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Kathleen St.Laurent
Principal

“Celebrate the Beauty of Every Child” Campaign
|
Thank you to all who have contributed to the Beauty of Every Child Campaign. The campaign continues thru Tuesday so please consider bringing in some last minute donations to benefit this worthy cause and to help your child’s grade win the challenge!

On Tuesday 10/8, students attended and assembly explaining the
Box of Joy
giving program. Students will be able to send Christmas gifts to children in developing countries. For many poor children, a
Box of Joy
– filled with toys, clothing, school supplies, a rosary and the Story of Jesus – was the first Christmas gift they ever received. The
Box of Joy
ministry provides teachers, parish leaders, and other Catholic groups a unique opportunity for students, parishioners, and group members to participate in a simple and tangible service experience that has both a material and spiritual impact on the poorest of the poor in developing countries.
