A Message from The Principal
Dear CC Families,

Our school year is off to a busy start! This week, students in grades 5-10 completed the first MAP testing period of the school year. The data from this testing period will provide us with baseline information for each student both individually and grade level. MAP testing provides detailed individualized information identifying learning standards and identifies a specific growth target goal for students.

This morning we had our opening school mass with Bishop Edgar da Cunha. We are honored that our Bishop joined us for this very special liturgy.

I would like to thank Mrs. Ligia Maderia and Mrs. Ellen Russell and their committee for organizing our Family Fun Day. A great deal of planning and preparation has been done over the summer to make this a wonderful day for our families.

Thank you for your continued support of our school!

Sincerely,

Kathleen St.Laurent
Principal

A Note from Guidance
High School Guidance
Hello Parents,

My name is Ashley Faherty and I am the new High School Guidance Counselor at Coyle and Cassidy. I am very excited to join the Coyle and Cassidy community. I recently graduated with my master’s degree in school counseling from Assumption College. I am looking forward to getting to know the students, and being a part of the Coyle community.

FOR THE SENIORS: IT’S COLLEGE APPLICATION TIME!! I am sure you are wondering “What’s next?” In the next few weeks, I will be checking in with all the seniors. It will give me the opportunity to meet all the senior students individually, and check-in to see where they are throughout the college process. If a student wants to see me before their scheduled time, they are encouraged to come up to guidance. I am looking forward to assisting the seniors through the college process.

My main goal is to promote academic, personal/social, and career development for all students. I am looking forward to collaborating with staff, families, and the community. Any student may request to meet with me. If you have any concerns regarding your son or daughter, I am available to assist.
I can be reached at [email protected] or by phone at 508.823.6164 ext. 617
I am excited to be here at Coyle and Cassidy, and I look forward to getting to know the students, parents, and guardians.

Kind Regards,

Ashley Faherty

From the Health Office
Dear Parent/Guardian,

It's that time of year again when  we need  Physician orders, signed Parental permission forms and any medications that your child needs to take while in school. In order for any medication to be given in school , the State of Massachusetts requires that we have:

1. A Physician’s order for the medication on file each year.
2. A signed parental permission form on file each year.
3. Prescription medication needs to be brought to school by an adult in the Prescription labeled container.
4. Over the Counter medications need to be brought by an adult in the manufacturers labeled container.
5. Epi-Pen, Rescue Inhalers and Insulin Pumps are all allowed to be carried by the student provided that we have:
1.    A Physician’s order for the medication and permission for the student to carry and self- administer (on file each year).
2.    A signed parental permission form with permission for the student to carry and self- administer (on file each year).
3.    I will then meet with your child and review the medication, when to administer and the procedure for use.
Please note that students cannot carry medications on their person, or in their backpacks in school.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Our Fax Number is 508-823-2530.
The Parental Permission form is on the bottom of the student information page, in the middle of the page on Coyle and Cassidy's website.  https://www.coylecassidy.com/students/

Per Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations, all students participating in any school
sports, and students in  grade 7 and 10, as well as any incoming new student,  must have an updated physical
    on file in our school.
Please contact your child’s physician and have him/her fax an updated physical to 508- 823- 2530.
You can also have your child bring a copy into the health office. Please  do not email your child’s physical, as email is not
considered secure per FERPA regulations.  We can accept a physical dated from 8/26/18.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter.
