Warrior Wellness Monthly

One Year Anniversary Video

This month, we celebrate a milestone—one year of Warrior Spirit, a journey rooted in courage, healing and hope.

Since our founding in May 2024, our mission has been clear: to empower veterans, first responders, educators, youth, and individuals in addiction recovery.

Guided by A Servant’s Heart, we strive to grow together, give generously, and love unconditionally—bringing hope and purpose to every life we touch.

Through mental health peer support, art and equine therapies, and mentorship programs, we’ve served over 730 men, women, and children this past year. From journaling and breath work to our specialized Navigator 6 Series, our goal is to foster resilience, healing, and growth.

We are proud to collaborate with incredible organizations—working side by side to create a community rooted in courage, compassion, and healing.

This year has shown us the incredible strength that comes from standing together, giving from the heart, and loving without limits. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Warrior Spirit: A Servant's Heart

Warrior Spirit and Skeleton Crew Adventures launch partnership in service to veterans and first responders

Warrior Spirit and Skeleton Crew Adventures (SCA) have officially launched our partnership with a 6-hour Mental Awareness Training series, followed by MVPN Military Cultural Competency Training. These foundational trainings equip SCA volunteers with the tools and understanding needed to effectively support the veteran and first responder communities they serve.

Warrior Spirit will lead and manage ongoing mental wellness initiatives for both SCA volunteers and the broader communities they impact. These efforts will include small group activities tailored for individual participants, spouses and couples.

Through strategic partnerships we aim to provide access to a variety of therapeutic experiences, including equine therapy, art therapy and endurance-based therapy.

Our shared vision is to foster a strong, connected community of support—a brotherhood and sisterhood of those with a servant’s heart, committed to healing together. For more information on SCA: https://skeletoncrewadventures.org/

2025 Biennial Veterans Tribute Day

at the Texas Capitol

Operation Honor Our Local Veterans

Warrior Spirit was honored to participate in the 2025 Biennial Veterans Tribute Day at the Texas Capitol on April 25th, an event dedicated to raising awareness about the challenges facing today’s veterans and honoring those who tirelessly serve them.

The tribute was curated by Renee Rodriguez, daughter of a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and board member of Operation Honor Our Local Veterans, in collaboration with Buzz Wesley, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Vice President of the organization. Their leadership brought a unique and powerful artistic vision to the Capitol rotunda, blending music, storytelling, photography and military precision into a heartfelt tribute.

The event also highlighted those serving veterans in Galveston County, emphasizing the importance of community-based efforts to foster positive change. OHLV continues to elevate veteran voices, promote healing through creative expression, and build bridges between veterans and their communities. Warrior Spirit is proud to support these initiatives and shine a spotlight on the dedicated individuals working tirelessly for our veterans.

Warrior Spirit Presents at the Every Victim, Every Time Conference

We were truly honored to present Self-Reflection: Insight Into a Victim's Perspective at the Every Victim, Every Time Conference in Bryan-College Station on April 29th and 30th. Over two impactful days, law enforcement, victim advocates, counselors, medical professionals and other first responders came together to strengthen responses to victims, share case studies, explore new trends, and embrace innovative technology in crime victim services. Since its inception in 2007, this conference has grown into a vital gathering. This year, more than 800 dedicated professionals participated, all committed to making a difference in the lives of men, women and children in Texas. As long-time advocates, Warrior Spirit is proud to stand alongside these heroes, continually working to deepen our understanding and improve how we serve those affected by trauma.

Thanks to HEB Operation Appreciation, our recent Healing Horizons events,

co-hosted by Rainbow of Hope, provided transformative equine and mental health experiences for veterans and spouses. These gatherings offered participants unique opportunities for healing and growth, nurturing resilience and hope.
