Last week we felt very strongly that we should really focus on our humanitarian projects in our Ashkelon congregation. What makes our congregation in Ashkelon so unique is its facility, which is actually a bomb shelter located on basement level. It was crucial for us to find a place like that due to Ashkelon being a constant target for rocket fire. 


Initially our humanitarian project was geared towards house visits, delivering food essentials and other items to families in need in Ashkelon. However, the Lord led us to invite all the families we visited and helped during the war to our congregation facility...

Ministry minivans have a limited lifespan, especially here at Beit Hallel, due to the incredible work output invested towards our spiritual and humanitarian efforts in Israel. There comes a point though that your ancient minivan just says “enough is enough” and it starts costing you more in maintenance than a quality second-hand mini-van will cost you. The math adds up and it just makes more sense to sell off the old van for a newer and reliable vehicle. After all, we can’t afford to waste time, as Israel's spiritual clock is ticking...

In the midst of chaos and tragedy, we also get glimmers of light and hope that propel us forward, assuring us that there are far greater things ahead than any we leave behind. After many years, many bureaucracy issues, persecutions and obstacles in our path, Beit Hallel Congregation is finally moving into its first self owned building which will house both our congregational operations, humanitarian projects, administration and all ministry work. It is a big milestone for us, one we’ve been praying and waiting for far too long...
