| | "Wash, rinse, repeat" (sometimes "lather, rinse, repeat") is a phrase that roughly describes the instructions on many shampoo brands. It is also used as a humorous way of pointing out that such instructions, if taken literally, would result in a continuous cycle of repeating the same steps, at least until one runs out of shampoo. Our endless loop, which never results in running out of shampoo, can be explained as receive the boxes, open the boxes, repeat. If you check with our UPS or FedEx drivers, I’m sure they would confirm that our deliveries of fabrics, notions, and machines are an endless loop, as they are knocking at our back door daily and sometimes on a twice-a-day basis. This week was exceptionally busy, as we currently have boxes of fabric stacked floor to ceiling! | | Click on the Picture for more Information | | Many of these boxes are filled with product that we will be bringing with us to WestWorld for the BIG Quilt, Craft and Sewing Festival ~ remember to look for our booth (#708-712) and our display of all things Grace Company! Repeat ~ as we box up, load the truck, and set it all back up at the shop after the show! This is your opportunity to hone or learn the skills that will set you up for success! Beginning quilters and those who need a refresher class will have the opportunity to join Andi for this Jumpstart Camp. The table runner is formed by making two each of several block patterns, wash, rinse, repeat! Lock those skills in! You'll learn cutting procedures, proper seam width, block assembly, adding borders, the actual quilting, and adding your binding. Andi is a favorite teacher of ours, and she has graduated many students, taking them from beginner to skilled during this class. Enjoy our AC, leave your machines in the classroom overnight, and prepare to laugh and learn! Andi has two new classes scheduled in September, as well as the return of her Longarm Techniques class. Gourdalishous Paper Piecing is a fun paper pieced fall quilt… or if you aren’t committed to the quilt, learn the process and turn one row into a seasonal table runner. It’s like paint-by-numbers with fabric! The only prerequisites are the ability to sew a straight (ish) line and count to 10! Mark your calendar – National Jelly Roll Day is Saturday, September 19th!
