Scholarship Corner

Please note this is not an extensive list of scholarship opportunities.

The scholarships listed below have been sent to the Washington County Extension Office or are part of a committee that operates out of the Extension Office.

One Application | Two Opportunities


Ag Champs: $1,000 to 25 students + $1,000 to their chapter or club

Each Texas Farm Credit branch location will select one local student who will be awarded a $1,000 academic grant and the title of Ag Champ. In addition, each Ag Champ will also have a $1,000 contribution made in their honor to their FFA chapter or 4-H club.


Marsha Martin Scholarship: $5,000 to 12 students

Texas Farm Credit will present $5,000 postsecondary scholarships to twelve future ag leaders. Winners will be announced in May. The annual scholarship program is named in honor of Paris, Texas native Marsha Pyle Martin, a strong advocate for youths and agriculture who passed away in 2000 following a 30-year Farm Credit career.

The Big Tex Scholarship Program has awarded college scholarships to more than 3,000 students for a total of more than $17.4 million. Eligible recipients include graduating high school seniors around the state of Texas who have participated in competitive youth livestock events held at the State Fair.

Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarships are academic scholarships awarded each year to applicants based on their academic record, 4-H experience, and financial need. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to award over $2.7 MILLION in scholarships to over 220 4-H members.
