Washington County 4-H is excited to announce a summer Food and Nutrition Program, Kids in the Kitchen, on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. This program will provide educational hands-on activities geared to teach food safety, preparation, and nutrition.


The program will take place on July 10, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington County Expo Event Center in Brenham. The cost is $25 (4-H member) and $40 (non-member) per child. Children aged 8-14 are eligible to register, but please note that space is limited to 20 participants. So, we encourage you to register early to secure a spot for your child!

2024 Texas 4-H Roundup

Texas 4-H Roundup is the pinnacle event of the state 4-H program. The event consists of approximately 50 competitive events, with some of these contests requiring each individual or team to qualify at the county and district level to compete. Senior level (9th-12th grade) 4-H members participate at this event, which also holds scholarship recognition, retiring of the State 4-H Council, educational workshops, a trade show, and high energy assemblies.


REGISTRATION DEADLINES:

April 29, 2024: Deadline to submit volunteer screening application for those who will be serving as a chaperone of youth from their county

May 1, 2024 - May 13, 2024 : Roundup Registration through 4HOnline

May 14, 2024 – May 15, 2024: Additional $50 Late Fee

May 16, 2024 – May 17, 2024: Additional $250 Late Fee

May 18, 2024 – May 31, 2024: Additional $500 Late Fee

NO REGISTRATION ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 31st
