New Small Business Search Platform for Federal Marketplace

Small Business Administration’s NEW Small Business Search (SBS) is now live, replacing the Dynamic Small Business Search. Used by government agencies and primes to find qualified small business, the new and improved SBS pulls small business registration information from SAM.gov as well as the SBA Certification database. If you have an active SAM registration and are considered “small” by SBA standards based on your employee count or average revenue, you should be showing up in the new SBS. The database features additional fields that are not accessible in SAM.gov and need to be updated directly in the SBA system. To add your capabilities narrative, keywords, bonding, performance history, and more you first need to create an account in SBS and claim your business. Updates are currently taking 24 hours to appear. View instructions and other FAQs in the SBA’s help guide linked here. As always, your trusted APEX Accelerator Advisor can offer assistance as well.

  • MRSC Rosters are now used by over 775 agencies across Washington State. Rather than posting solicitations full and open for everyone to access, many small dollar transactions are conducted through a Roster where only vetted businesses are invited to respond. Now is an ideal time to check your MRSC Roster account: 1) Is it active? 2) Are you in the correct one (pro tip: they have three different rosters!) and 3) is your profile up to date?  If you aren’t sure of these three questions, visit MRSCRosters.org to find out or attend this no-cost virtual workshop on August 13.
