HAGERSTOWN, MD (July 20, 2020) - Washington County Government shares the following message with its citizens from the Washington County Board of Elections :

The Washington County Board of Elections will hold a special meeting on Monday, July 20 th at 4:00PM . The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and vote on the consolidation of multiple precincts for the upcoming Presidential General Election. 

This action is necessary, because, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a majority of our election judges have elected to stay home. These consolidations provide the least disruption to voters while allowing each polling location to be staffed with the appropriate number of election judges. This action is for the Presidential General Election only, and if a decision is made by the Governor to change the method of the election such that polling places are not required, the consolidation will not take place.
