Washington County Government
hosted an inaugural Commissioner Candidate Open House on Tuesday, August 13, 2018. The
County Administrator’s Office
delivered an overview of Washington County Government, informing candidates or representatives of its mission, vision, values, and overall operations. Senior staff from each division and department within the County delivered an overview of their staff and daily operations.
Rob Slocum, County Administrator, said, “County staff and commissioners will spend the next four years together serving our County. The event this morning was a first step in welcoming all candidates to County government, introducing senior staff, sharing goals and accomplishments, and taking questions from candidates. Staff wants to establish productive working relationships with our new board and this was a great way to get started with all candidates.”
Eight commissioner candidates or representatives attended the open house. All commissioner candidates were invited to attend.
