DUII is 100% Preventable

Driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) is entirely preventable, and the Washington County Sheriff's Office wants to remind you to plan ahead if you intend to drink alcohol or use other intoxicating substances, including marijuana.

Over Labor Day weekend, Washington County law enforcement teams worked together to arrest 56 drivers for DUII. With 761 traffic stops, our commitment to road safety and community protection remains strong. Many thanks to everyone involved in making this mission a success!

To get home safely, designate a sober driver or arrange for alternative transportation, such as public transit or a ride-share service

Scam Awareness

DON’T FALL FOR IT! Thieves are out to get your savings by preying on individual fears. They could have personal details about you, such as your name or address, all available through public records, data breaches, or online searches.

Recovering lost funds is nearly impossible, so your best defense is to be aware and educate yourself about scams.

What should I do?
