Words from our EO, Dad Jacobson

A new year in Washington DeMolay

Dear DeMolays and Advisors of Washington,

Congratulations on a fantastic Convention! It was wonderful to see the energy, brotherhood, leadership, and excitement that continue to make Washington DeMolay strong.

As we move into this new year, our message is innovation.

DeMolay has always grown by evolving, adapting, and responding to the needs of its members. The world around us continues to change, and so do the ways young men lead, serve, learn, and connect. Washington DeMolay is committed to meeting that moment with creativity, purpose, and a willingness to try new things while staying grounded in the values that have always defined our Order.

Your State Corps has planned an exciting year ahead, filled with opportunities for growth, leadership, fun, and meaningful connection. We encourage every Chapter, every Advisor, and every DeMolay to step forward, get involved, and help shape what comes next.

This year is not just about what is planned for you. It is about what you choose to do with it.

Remember: It’s your move!

Fraternally,

Dad Paul Jacobson

Advisor Survey

Does your chapter have resources we should know about?

It has been suggested numerous times over the past year that our Chapters have resources that the state program can take advantage of.

This link will take you to a survey that you can fill out to share many of those resources with us. Simply select the areas of the survey you would like to fill out, by checking the box for that focus. Then answer the questions that open up for you. When finished simply hit submit. You can submit as many surveys as you wish, we will compile and update your information each time.

This link will get added to the webpage at the bottom in the footer, so that you can come back to it as often as you would like. If you have suggestions please feel free to share those with us so we can consider them as we make updates to the survey.

CONCLAVE 2026

New Leaders Elected

What a great Conclave we had this year. For the first time in many years we had multiple offices that were contested with multiple candidates. We also had a change in our State Dad Advisor after many years. Below are the individuals elected for the new term this year, please make note and help us congratulate them on their election to the new "IT's YOUR MOVE" term.

State Master Councilor Shua Young Tacoma Chapter

State Senior Councilor Alex Warwick Puyallup Chapter

State Junior Councilor Charlie Abrams Tacoma Chapter

A huge thank you goes out to Ryan Snyder from South Kitsap, our retiring State Senior Councilor and Justin Dodge from South Kitsap Chapter, our retiring State Junior Councilor, for their hard work an dedication over the past year. They were a big part of the successes the corps had last year.

Also during the installation this year Dad William Hart was installed as the new State Dad Advisor replacing our long time State Dad Matthew Luedke, who is assuming a new role as the Chief Innovations Officer. A big thank you for his many years of service as State Dad Advisor to Washington DeMolay.

Finally a big thank you and farewell to Greg Thompson our Junior Past State Master Councilor, as he moves into new roles in the organization after a much deserved break. He has our gratitude for doing a fantastic job as State Master Councilor this past year.

Support DeMolay Programs in WA Financially

WA State DeMolay Foundation

The costs to make all of our programs happen in Washington DeMolay, continue to increase as the months and years go by. The simplest way for you to help offset these costs are to sign up for our monthly donation program. A massive thank you to all those who have already signed up to make a monthly donation. Every $10 donation goes a long way to help make every activity accessible to all of our young men. You can go to our website www.wademolayfoundation.org and click on the donations page to customize any contribution you would like to make. Donations are all tax deductible.

Also available there is information about the types of things your contributions support. If you have any questions please feel to reach out to our President by email and he will get back to you as quickly as possible. Again, a huge thank you to those that have already made the choice to contribute, our young men thank you! We hope more will make this same choice to support Washington DeMolay.
