Washington Elementary School To Open
Time Capsule
Boise, ID -- 02/15/2022 -- A lot has changed since the year 2000, whether it's the growth of social media, the growth of cell phones, or the growth of electric vehicles, to name just a few.

But there's a place in Boise where the year 2000 remains intact and that place is a time capsule that was instructed to be opened in the year 2022. Now the time has come to crack open the time capsule to see what Washington students and staff placed in the capsule to symbolize the year 2000.

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. Washington Elementary School will open the 22-year old time capsule. Principal Hannah Courtright is inviting Washington students from the year 2000 to attend the time capsule opening.

"It's an exciting opportunity to learn about what was going on back in the year 2000 and we want to share the anticipation of opening this time capsule with Washington students who were enrolled in our school in the year 2000," said Principal Courtright.
