Parent Scholarship Presentation in Spanish

WAEF staff will lead a brief presentation during the 3pm Spanish Session break about paying for college and ways parents can help their children earn scholarships.

Join in the bidding fun! The WAEF silent auction featuring wine, travel, artwork, gourmet gift baskets and more begins at 6pm with the opening of the banquet reception. Following announcement of this year's industry award recipients, an exciting live auction with celebrated auctioneer Paul Newman (see his website here) begins. FFA Leadership Luncheon & State Apple Judging Contest

Annually WAEF hosts FFA students following the state apple judging contest to a luncheon in their honor featuring a speaker sharing about exiting innovations and careers in the tree fruit industry. This year Dan Steere of Abundant Robotics will share about the future of automated harvesting. The luncheon culminates in the announcement of the 2016 State Apple Judging Champion and recipient of a $1000 WAEF scholarship sponsored by the NCW Fieldman's Association and the Yakima Pomological Club.
