Rears Sprayer Raffle
Monday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 6th
Look for our bright orange Rears sprayer on the upper level of the conference building. When you purchase a $25 tickets to win the sprayer, you receive the added benefit of making a difference to industry young people. For advance information, contact the WAEF office at (509) 663-7713.

Tuesday, December 6th
Past scholarship recipients are invited to join WAEF for a networking breakfast prior to the start of Tuesday's sessions. This is our third year to host the breakfast event and are thrilled to see attendance growing. Parent Scholarship Presentation in Spanish
Tuesday, December 6th at 3pm
WAEF staff will lead a brief presentation during the 3pm Spanish Session break about paying for college and ways parents can help their children earn scholarships.

Tuesday, December 6th at the Industry Awards Banquet
Join in the bidding fun! The WAEF silent auction featuring wine, travel, artwork, gourmet gift baskets and more begins at 6pm with the opening of the banquet reception. Following announcement of this year's industry award recipients, an exciting live auction with celebrated auctioneer Paul Newman (see his website here) begins. Up for bid is an overnight stay at Cave B Inn with a five-course wine paired dinner for two; a Seattle getaway featuring two tickets to the exciting Teatro Zinzanni dinner cabaret; a getaway for four with a private tasting and tour at Col Solare and lodging at the Inn at Desert Wind; a wine cellar hit featuring more than TWO cases of premium wine donated by members of the WAEF board of directors; a pheasant hunt for four; stay & play at Gamble Sands with rounds of golf and overnight lodging at the new Inn at Gamble Sands; and a four-person fly fishing overnight adventure at the Steelhead Ranch on the Klickitat River.

FFA Leadership Luncheon & State Apple Judging Contest

Annually WAEF hosts FFA students following the state apple judging contest to a luncheon in their honor featuring a speaker sharing about exiting innovations and careers in the tree fruit industry. This year Dan Steere of Abundant Robotics will share about the future of automated harvesting. The luncheon culminates in the announcement of the 2016 State Apple Judging Champion and recipient of a $1000 WAEF scholarship sponsored by the NCW Fieldman's Association and the Yakima Pomological Club.
