Happy Winter season!

It's been quite a year, eh?

There's a little hummingbird at my feeder just now reminding me that adroitness and nourishment are available in all seasons AND Solstice just came to tip the light toward its gradual return. Huzzah!

We're on our regular schedule of classes this week, including Saturday/New Year's Eve. How fun it will be if you can join us dancing out 2022 together.

Regular classes are on hiatus January 1 -13, 2023

while I visit my Mom. For those who want to keep on keeping on while I am away, there are some recent Zoom recordings of sessions available to you by request.

Contact me for information and details.

Speaking of recordings, there is a new little batch of clips of movement on Wassa Dance's YouTube channel. They are not fancy but they are a good little taste of things.

If any more winter storms hit Seattle, please check Wassa Dance class page or Wassa Dance on Facebook for cancellations. You can also text me to check.

I really dig these and they are back for 2023.

In these sessions I take a free wheeling approach to explore some of the root concepts, imagery and embodied listening skills that Wassa Dance is created from.

While you are welcome at any session, this is not a drop-in class.

Please contact me ahead of time to join us.

I've been adding a lot of new music in my library to learn from and be inspired by.

Whoo-hooo! Stay tuned for new mixes.

If you haven't heard of them, SAULT is a highly prolific, versatile and somewhat mysterious musical collective out of the UK. I'm slowly working my listening way through the FIVE albums they released on Bandcamp in 2022.

Maybe you want to start here though as this song from 2020 is in few of my mixes.

STRONG by SAULT.

Ever and all ways I am grateful for you and the special kinship of our extended dance community however near to far, in past, present and future.

Wishing you sweetness, inspiration, deep breathing and plenty of dancing to end with and begin again,

xo
