Hey now,

Nothing like a last minute huzzah to let those of you who don't already know that this is a very special weekend for Balance Studio. Celebrating 10+ years of a lot of love, sweat and work as a creative home for so many, including Wassa Dance! Before we get much further in details, let's take a moment to acknowledge the real dedication and investments Aileen and Daniel have and continue to make every single day.

Lot's to say here which I mostly paste in below from Balance's own construction but practical note for Wassa Dance Saturday dancers, this week we're part of the weekend of celebration, so class is from 9:30-10:10 am Seattle time and it's ""free" but I'm hoping you'll donate to the studio. . ;) The zoom link is different for this event. See below. And please please participate if you can, I don't like to dance alone.

The other piece of the weekend I get to be part of, that sounds like so much fun to me, is Friday night from 6:00 pm - 6:40 where some of the other instructors and I will play off each other's moves and music in an improvisatory/conversational way. Yah, that was my idea and I hope there's a future for more collabs of this sort.

On to the weekend as Balance Studio describes it. Caveat from me, it's getting late and Constant Contact is not my best friend in making content for you. When in doubt about this weekend event go to this link on the studio's website. Thank you.

OUR 10th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IS HERE!

Friday 11/11-Sunday 11/13

We hope you can join us for a weekend full of classes and our performance Saturday evening with Bahia In Motion dance company and special guests Etienne Cakpo, Omega, and Naissa Anjara. Local artists are displaying their work as we highlight the strength, talent and diversity of our community. Our silent Auction is LIVE and has many beautiful, inspiring and nurturing items to choose from. Our weekend will culminate with a workshop offered by Daniel and Etienne with live drumming...their signature Benin to Brazil joy-filled infusion!

We are now accepting donations for our fundraiser through our GoFundMe.

Thank you for your help to develop, sustain and grow our vision and mission. Balance Studio is a work of art conceived many years ago. Through a lot of hard work and the support of our incredible community, we are humbled to reach 10 years. You all are a major source of inspiration for us to keep nurturing our dreams...

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Certain classes have virtual options if you can't make it in-person (indicated in parentheses below by "vo"). Our performance also has a virtual option (registration encouraged, see link below). Go to our http://www.bahiainmotion.com/online-classes/ on our website and look at each virtual option to sign up for a virtual spot. For in-person attendance, no need to register!
