Hello RRC family,
This has certainly been a whirlwind of a week. As I am sure most of you are doing as well, I am slowly but surely adjusting to a new rhythm of life. This is an opportunity for us as leaders, at church or in your home, to change how we do things. I am currently working on how to keep community while giving content you as parents can use to be the spiritual leaders in your home.
First, please help me remain present in your child's life!
Tonight, March 18, I am going live on the Rockford Reformed Facebook page at 7pm to say hello and give the last closing lesson for KidLife Club. Next, I will be recording the Sunday morning KidLife lesson on Saturday and it will get posted along with Tim's sermon on Sunday. At that time I will be giving kids a "verse of the week" to learn and memorize. Be on the lookout for emails with links and content that you can use at home.
For all of my older friends, 3rd - 5th graders, please continue to fill out sermon notes at home. I saw that many children sat with families to watch Pastor Tim online last Sunday! Kids can make your own outline to follow along or click the link added to print/use the one from church. When we return to church your child may turn them all in for treats!
At this time I know children have lots of questions. Just remember we are all in this together! We as adults don't want to be stuck at home either. Remember to project peace over anxiety. Being rooted in the word will help you in doing that. I am praying for each and every one of you and your families. Please pray alongside me for our community, our children, and our families to remember God is in control. We can look to him for strength.
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."
Psalm 46:1 (NLT)
