The initial goal of the Watch Muskegon Campaign is to enhance the overall image of the Muskegon area and to share positive changes both locally and regionally.
Midway through the three-year campaign, a perception research study was completed and data shows our efforts are working !

  • Created and implemented a Muskegon County ambassadorship program known as Muskegon STAR! 
  • Certified over 900 Muskegon STARS!
  • Created and implemented a Muskegon STAR! Students program. In 2017, the program pilot included three Muskegon Area Schools resulting in 80 Muskegon STAR! Students.
  • In 2018, Muskegon STAR! Student will launch to all schools within the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District (MAISD).
  • Worked with the MAISD to promote the Muskegon Area Promise.
  • Partnered with the Career Tech Center, Muskegon Community College and Baker College to promote local education.
  • Helped to promote the Muskegon In Focus Leadership program.
  • Hosted a Media Day Tour.
  • Participated in Familiarization Tours, Community Engagement Tours, Walking Tours, Educational Seminars, Speaking Engagements, Etc.
  • Collaborated with Rapid Growth Media to feature “On The Ground” editorial highlighting positive news stories happening throughout Muskegon County.

The Watch Muskegon campaign is comprised of several local businesses and individuals throughout Muskegon County and is funded 100% by private donations . The “US” in WATCH US GO is everyone, and anyone can be part of the positive change! If you are interested in getting involved, click here.
