WATER CONSERVATION HAS GREAT ROI

April may go down as one of the driest on record unless the forecast plays out later this week to finally return to our normal rainy spring weather. Our weather is very inconsistent and can be quite wet through the spring, but it is not uncommon to have dry stretches like we've had through most of April. This past weekend was wonderful to be able to get outside and enjoy mild sunny weather. We have been working diligently over the past several weeks activating irrigation as the warm sunny weather signals the beginning of the need for irrigation.

However, weather forecasts are as inconsistent as the weather itself and relatively inaccurate, making manual programming of irrigation controllers difficult. We are strong supporters of weather-based irrigation and believe that most projects justify the additional expense as water is expensive and weather-based irrigation saves 20 to 30% of typical water usage. We've seen the greatest savings with weather-based irrigation in the spring and the fall when our weather is inconsistent. This is a classic year that justifies where the based irrigation is and if you have not considered it, please do so to save yourself money and help properly irrigate your landscape in the invariable weather.

After a wet winter, spring has started to be very dry as we have had little to no rain in April. With the forecast for dryer than normal for spring and early summer, we will likely irrigate more than normal.

Water is expensive, so water conservation is an important service we provide. We promoted many water conservation projects. On the projects we maintain, we are happy to help our customers save water costs with projects that have great ROI>
