There isn't much to be done in the garden in December, but avid gardeners can still keep bus
y. Prune deciduous trees and fruit trees now that the leaves have fallen, as well as any vines such as grapes or wisteria. Plant those bare root roses, shrubs and trees you ordered last month. Harvest any of your cool weather vegetables. If a frost is in the forecast be sure to keep plants well-hydrated as that helps them to keep from freezing, and cover vulnerable plants.
