Long Time Educator Retires and a New Virtual Learning Program Emerges
After a fulfilling career teaching kids about water conservation and many other water-related topics, Water Conservation Education Specialist Cindy Brady, retired on October 27, 2020. In her combined 24 years at Castaic Lake Water Agency and SCV Water, she taught thousands of school-aged children about the many sides of water including: the water cycle, water treatment and quality, microbiology, botany, chemistry, water borne illnesses, soils and permeability, and where our water comes from (State and locally).

Cindy found her purpose and passion as a Water Conservation Education Specialist. She said, “I loved my job because it allowed me to not only teach, which I love, but pass on information to our children about conservation of water, where our water comes from, the treatment process and so many wonderful important water facts.”

Her last endeavor before retirement was to assist with developing the live distance learning opportunities for local schools.
