place called Nuwakot which is part of the areas affected by this flood. Around 64 families were affected by the flood in this area. Their houses were washed away by the flood.
Their biggest need is a place to live right now. We are currently considering whether we can build a 12x12 ft room for each family. These rooms will be made of metal (zinc) sheets. Each shelter will require approximately 4 bundles or 24 metal sheets, 8 to 12 feet long. The affected families will provide the wooden poles by themselves. We will need to provide metal sheets along with nails, hammers, and shears to cut the sheets.
According to our calculations, a single shelter will cost approximately 30,000 Nepali rupees (that is $196). Our goal is to provide this assistance to all 64 families. That will be total: NRs.19,20,000.00 ($12,525) of need. We are praying to God for this urgent need.
Most of the families are non-Christians, but evangelism is taking place there. We want to present God’s love to all of them equally by helping them in their needs.
