NATIONAL WATER SAFETY

AWARENESS WEEK 2025

National Water Safety Awareness Week (NWSAW) ran from May 19th to May 25th, 2025 and proved to be one of the most engaging and impactful weeks yet, with events held in communities across all of Ireland to educate, inspire, and promote safer practices around water.

Throughout the week, Water Safety Ireland hosted a wide range of events, activities, and educational programs aimed at raising awareness about the importance of staying safe in and around water. From seasoned swimmers to those new to water activities, there was something for everyone to learn and enjoy.

Communities, schools, families, and individuals across the country came together to take part in this important initiative. Their involvement helped spread life-saving knowledge and foster a greater understanding of how to stay safe in aquatic environments.
