Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC) appreciates that this has been a stressful time, across all aspects of our lives, and that many of our clubs and schools may be experiencing uncertainty as we look to the upcoming season. WSWC is committed to supporting our towed water sports community this season, where legislation provides. We are mindful that legislative mandates vary across Canada however it seems promising that mandates will start to ease up over the coming weeks and we will support towed water sports activities where legal jurisdictions make it permissible to do so.
Paramount to ensuring a safe towed water sports season in 2020 will be the need for enhanced safety measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 and support physical distancing.
WSWC will continue to monitor the situation, are actively working with our towed water sports community to navigate this new and constantly changing landscape, and will provide updates as they become available. It is important that everyone be aware of and abide by the mandates in your area and continue to supportive the directives of the Government of Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada and your Provincial Chief Medical Officers.
