Residential Service Disconnections Resumed on July 7

Financial Assistance is Available

If you're behind on your water and sewer bill, financial assistance may be available. We offer a variety of programs to help eligible customers manage their bills and avoid a service disconnection.

Have you tried our Financial Assistance Guide? Answer six brief questions to receive a personalized list of programs you may qualify for. WSSC Water does not track or report the information you enter into the guide. If you choose to apply for a recommended program, you'll only need to provide documentation required for that specific program.

United Way Becomes New Administrator of the Water Fund

Following a successful partnership administering the Emergency Customer Relief Fund, WSSC Water has selected the United Way of the National Capital Area to manage the Water Fund.

Established in 1994 by WSSC Water employees, the Water Fund provides eligible customers with up to $500 in assistance during a 12-month rolling period.

With more than 100 years of experience helping income-constrained households, United Way brings proven expertise and efficient service to customers in need. Their expanded processing capabilities will help customers receive assistance in a timely manner. Customers can apply online or in person at United Way's Financial Empowerment Centers in Montgomery and Prince George's counties. These centers allow customers to receive broader financial planning to help build a stronger financial foundation for their families.

Regional Drought Watch Remains in Effect

Drought conditions continue to impact our region. We encourage everyone to keep practicing wise water use. Simple, voluntary actions, both inside and outside your home, can save water, reduce your bill, and help maintain a reliable water supply for our community.

Secure the Source Generates Vendor Excitement

On July 7, WSSC Water welcomed vendors to our Support Center in Laurel for an Early Engagement Vendor Session on the Secure the Source Regional Water Supply Resiliency Project. A packed house reflected the excitement surrounding this landmark regional initiative to strengthen long-term drinking water resilience for the more than 5 million people who rely on the Potomac River. We appreciate the strong interest and look forward to building the partnerships that will help Secure the Source for generations to come.
