Recreational Water Contact Health Advisory Issued for T. Howard Duckett Reservoir

WSSC Water has detected high concentrations of blue-green algae, known as Harmful Algal Blooms, in the T. Howard Duckett Reservoir. While our drinking water is not affected and continues to meet all Safe Drinking Water Act standards, there are important precautions people should take while spending time around the reservoir.

  • New rates took effect on July 1.
  • Regional drought watch remains in effect.
  • Water use typically increases during the hotter months.

The good news? You have the power to lower your bill by using water wisely and help safeguard our region's most precious resource.

Drink Tap. Refill. Repeat.
