Arc Water Treatment Company of Maryland celebrates 60 years of servicing our customers in Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.

This May, Arc Water Treatment Company will be celebrating our 60th year in business. Originally founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1963 by Edwin Goldstein and Joseph Cohen on “Arch” Street, the two partners decided that they would name the company “Arc”.

Arc Company grew steadily in Philadelphia, making a name for themselves in the PA and NJ water treatment markets, and in 1980, Arc opened their Maryland office in Beltsville, with David Goldstein, Ed’s son, running the Maryland operation. The success of the Maryland office was rapid, and soon Arc of Maryland outgrew the Philadelphia office, and the two founding partners, Ed and Joe, divided Arc into two completely independent companies; Arc of Pennsylvania with Joe, and Arc Water Treatment Company of Maryland, with Ed and David Goldstein.

Arc’s steady expansion and growth led to the move in 1990 to our current location in Jessup, and we have continued to expand our facilities and add quality personnel over the last 30 years.

The water treatment industry has changed and evolved greatly over these 60 years, and Arc has always stayed at the cutting edge of technology, providing the latest, most accurate and reliable equipment in the industry. Similarly, Arc has developed our own chemical formulations that provide excellent results in the prevention of corrosion, fouling, and scale in HVAC systems.

Arc has always been a leader in Legionella bacteria testing and monitoring, and we continue to provide the latest testing services and management plans for all our customers’ needs.

By focusing on excellent service, quality treatment chemicals, reliable equipment, rapid response to customer needs, and professionalism with attention to detail, Arc has enjoyed consistent growth every year. Our brand, “The Arc Way”, has become a symbol of quality in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Over the years, Arc has grown and prospered with top-notch teams of professionals who represent the company with the loyalty and dedication rarely found in any of today’s businesses. The Arc Family is excited to enter another decade in the water treatment industry, and we would like to thank all our loyal customers who have helped us achieve our continuing goal of excellence. We look forward to the next 60 years of “The Arc Way”!
Welcome to the Arc Family

Scott Recommends cleaning your cooling tower. Arc offers a Cooling Tower Cleaning Kit. Each kit cleans up to a 250 ton cooling tower. A dispersant and cleaning detergent are added directly to your cooling tower and is circulated for 24 hours. Afterwards, the cleaner is flushed from the system. The kit also includes corrosion inhibitor to add to the tower once the cleaner is flushed from the system. Please contact your Arc Salesperson to purchase for your building.
