compostCompost Your Pumpkins
Let nature do its work!

Done with your pumpkins? Don't trash them, compost them! Pumpkins should be tossed into the green composting bin. Also easy, is to smash them up, cover the bits with leaves in a spot in your garden, and let nature do its work to create nourishing compost.

Update

Construction of the El Camino Real Water Main Improvements Project is on schedule. Beginning the week of November 7, the City's contractor, Cratus, Inc., will be near the intersection of Broadway and El Camino Real. Beginning the week of November 11, Cratus, Inc. will be at the intersection installing the new water main. At no time will access to and from Broadway be closed. However, there will be temporary lane shifts and lane reductions. This phase of the work is anticipated to last approximately one to two weeks.
What to Expect During Construction
  • Weekday work hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • There will be one lane of traffic in each direction during this time. Left hand turns will be restricted within construction area.
  • Temporary parking restrictions on side streets will be posted at least 48 hours in advance.
  • There will be uneven pavement, including metal plates, between construction and re-paving activities.
  • Possible short delays for residents or businesses to access properties or driveways. The contractor will temporarily place metal plates over open trenches to provide access if needed.
  • The contractor should not need to enter your home. If there is a need to enter your home due to an emergency, the contractor will be accompanied by a City representative, who will show proper identification.
If you have any questions regarding the project, please call the Project Information Hotline at (877) 287-0082. Your patience during this construction is greatly appreciated.
