Relining Project Nears Finish Line

Major construction activities at the Water Authority's pipeline rehabilitation project in La Mesa and Spring Valley concluded this month, extending the pipeline's service life by 75 years or more.

The milestone resulted from collaboration by the entire project team, including the Water Authority, City of La Mesa, Helix Water District, and contractor, L.H. Woods & Sons, Inc., to rehabilitate 4.3 miles of 66- and 69-inch diameter pipes buried in East County.

Site restoration, paving, road striping, and demobilization are on track to wrap up this summer.
