Hello to all of my happy readers! I write this month's edition from a small desk outside of the shop. This week we experienced some very warm days and this spot has allowed me to cool off a bit while enjoying the happenings of our street.
Speaking of, our streets are filled with families, locals and tourists alike. Dare I say we are bustling. This week has brought its own joys and struggles. I will start with thanking every one of you for your continued support and faithfulness. I will also ask that you continue to be patient with us and love us through this. We continue to have grumpy customers in regard to things like hand sanitizer and mask wearing. I would like to state that working retail during these times is a challenge, and that staying cheerful throughout can be a challenge. My team and I are meeting that challenge head on every single day.
Speaking of needing a bit of R&R, my hubby and I are taking the kiddos and going to a log cabin for a couple of days in order to reconnect and unplug. I am grateful for this time and we soooooooooo need it. The store will remain open and in very capable hands--my right hand and left hand, to be exact. I could do nothing without my beautiful team. Come in and see them.
I finished
City of Girls
by Elizabeth Gilbert, that was a VERY fun read, come and chat with me about it. My vacation book is
The Book of Longings
by Sue Monk Kidd. This book is lovely, insightful, and well written. Looking forward to reading that while I am away, and then I will be reading
Estelle
by Linda Henley. So I am all "BOOKED" as we would say. Ok, enough from me! Stay healthy!
Enjoy and Happy READING!
