Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Ilse Williams ’27, Bishop Watterson Volunteer of the Month for December! Ilse is a talented cellist who has been cultivating her art over the last eight years. As a member of the Our Lady of Peace Music Ministry, she plays the cello during Saturday evening masses. During the holiday season, Ilse found a way to combine her passion for music with service by performing concerts to bring holiday spirit and cheer to the residents at several retirement communities. Ilse said the residents’ smiles and engagement during her concerts confirmed her decision to provide this musical service.

This past year, Ilse joined a friend to volunteer during a service day at Level the Playing Field, an organization that gives kids in under-resourced communities the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of youth sports participation. Ilse has continued to volunteer there, sorting through donations of used and excess sporting equipment which are then donated to programs and schools serving low-income communities.

Ilse - your service is a wonderful expression of Christ’s love—thank you!

Report Cards Posted

Second quarter report cards are now available online through your PowerSchool parent account.

To access your student’s report card, click on Student Reports on the left side of the screen to view archived report cards.

Report cards should be considered a snapshot in time, taken after final grades are received each quarter. Any changes to those grades will not be reflected until the next quarter's report cards are available.

If you are having trouble accessing your student’s report card or have any additional questions, feel free to contact Jay Forker at mr.forker@bwhs.org.

Eucharistic Adoration

With the new year come new opportunities to grow in our faith lives. With that in mind, we invite parents to join us for Eucharistic Adoration, held on most Wednesdays.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class.

If you have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” requirements of the Diocese, please click on the button below to sign up for a particular Holy Hour.
