Congratulations to the following students who earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT (composite and/or section) from the spring, summer or fall 2025 testing dates!

The ACT consists of four sections: English, Math, Reading and Science. The highest score a student can receive for a section is 36. A student's composite score is the average of the four section scores.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences

Conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 4 from 3:00-7:00 p.m.

These conferences are intended for students who may be struggling in a class. If your child is doing well but you still wish to learn more, we encourage you to email the teacher or to set up a phone call. You can keep tabs on your child’s academic progress by logging into PowerSchool.

While conferences are in person, all sign-ups for conference night need to be scheduled online at the link which will be included in the January 28 Wednesday News. Teachers are listed under their departments. If a teacher's available slots are full, or if you have a conflict on conference night, please don't hesitate to email the teacher.

No walk-in appointments will be available.

Students are expected to participate in conferences.

Online sign-ups will begin on Wednesday, January 28 at 8:00 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m.

College Credit Plus

Any parent of a student who plans to take a College Credit Plus course next year must get an OH ID number before applying for funding. Below is a link for instructions.

How to create a New OH|ID account and Department of Education Profile

Once parents have their OH ID account set up, parents can request funding for next school year. Bishop Watterson hosted a CCP meeting on January 20. On February 11, BWHS will host a "request CCP Funding Workshop" in Dominican Hall from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Parents will need to bring their OH ID number to complete a funding application. Mrs. Wendy Casterline from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce will be here to assist parents requesting funding.

For parents of students who have taken a CCP class before, you will need to attend both meetings and request CCP funding with a letter of good standing from the university.

Click here for the slides from last night's CCP meeting at BWHS.

Camino de Santiago Trip

Bishop Watterson High School is planning its first student pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago. This pilgrimage will be organized through Verso Ministries and is scheduled to take place during Spring Break 2027. An informational meeting for interested students and families will be held on Tuesday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. at BWHS. For additional information prior to the meeting, please contact Mr. Eric Stanek, mr.stanek@bwhs.org, Mrs. Karissa Bowman, mrs.bowman@bwhs.org or Mr. Billy Olson, wolson@bwhs.org.

Worth Repeating

Recognize Faculty/Staff!

Please help us recognize teachers and staff members who have gone above and beyond here at Bishop Watterson. Your help in "sharing the good news" will provide the administration an opportunity to recognize and thank these staff members.

You're Invited to Join Us at Night for the Eagles

Night for the Eagles is a fresh take on Bishop Watterson's beloved Gala tradition, set for Saturday, February 21 from 6:00-11:00 p.m. at Ohio Brewing Company.

This evening will be dedicated to uplifting and expanding opportunities for the Bishop Watterson student body and supporting tuition assistance.

Senior Parents

Senior parents are asked to send in your son/daughter's baby and freestyle pictures for the senior section of the yearbook. The freestyle picture is simply one that shows your senior's own style. It doesn't have to be professional; it can be sports- or activity-related, or any other photo besides the official one from school. Please make sure it is a modest picture.

Eucharistic Adoration

With the new year come new opportunities to grow in our faith lives. With that in mind, we invite parents to join us for Eucharistic Adoration, held on most Wednesdays.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class.

If you have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” requirements of the Diocese, please click on the button below to sign up for a particular Holy Hour.
