Freshman Day of Reflection TODAY

The Freshman Day of Reflection is set for today at Bishop Watterson during the school day. Freshmen will be dismissed with the rest of the school at 1:48 p.m.

This is a day to build our Catholic school community and come to know ourselves as deeply loved by God and called to share that love. The retreat will be facilitated by senior leaders, along with Campus Minister Mrs. Beth Simmonds and several teachers.

Freshmen should bring a bag lunch with a drink and may dress down according to school guidelines. Please plan for your freshman to be in school the entire day and reschedule any appointments you may have set for that day.

Freshmen will complete a service project for Run the Race Club and the St. Stephen Community Center. With that in mind, we are asking freshman to bring the following items anytime between now and October 29:

Homerooms 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115, 119: a bag of Halloween candy

Homerooms 15, 16: a box of granola bars

Email Bishop Watterson Campus Minister Beth Simmonds with any questions, mrs.simmonds@bwhs.org.

Mrs. Parks Presents at Conference

Theology teacher Julia Parks '03 presented at the 50th Annual International Patristic, Medieval, and Renaissance Conference at Villanova University last week. Mrs. Parks presented her paper "Crying for Mama: What the Sub Tuum Praesidium and Patristic Marian Thought Offers Christians in Times of Trouble," which begins to explore what one of the most ancient prayers asking for Mary's intercession and the early church fathers can offer for contemporary Christian life.

Report Cards Posted

First quarter report cards are now available online through your PowerSchool parent account.

To access your student’s report card, click on Student Reports on the left side of the screen to view archived report cards.

Report cards should be considered a snapshot in time, taken after final grades are received each quarter. Any changes to those grades will not be reflected until the next quarter's report cards are available.

If you are having trouble accessing your student’s report card or have any additional questions, feel free to contact Jay Forker at mr.forker@bwhs.org.

The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m.
