Signs and Magnets Still Available

We still have some yard signs available and would love to get them out into the community! Email mrs.mar@bwhs.org with your student's name and we'll send a sign home.

If you missed Meet the Teacher and would like a magnet, send $5 in an envelope with "magnet" and your child's name and homeroom on it and we'll send a magnet home!

Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Cecilia Keller ‘26, Bishop Watterson Volunteer of the Month for the summer months! Cecilia spent her summer supporting numerous agencies including Ganzhorn Suites, Whetstone Library, Ohio Senior Olympics, Immaculate Conception Parish and Bishop Watterson. When asked about memorable moments from her volunteer work Cecilia said a favorite was definitely leading Cheer Yoga with the Ganzhorn Suites Residents. Not all residents were as enthusiastic as Cecilia for a Sunday morning workout, but everyone always left feeling refreshed and with big smiles. Another highlight included keeping time and results for the Ohio Senior Olympics track event. The oldest runners were over 90 years old and Cecilia, a varsity cross country and track athlete, was impressed they could keep a competitive pace not too far from her own!

Cecilia, thank you for being an expression of Christ’s love in action!

NCYC

We have a few remaining spots for students to join our pilgrimage to the National Catholic Youth Conference November 20-23 in Indianapolis. We were able to lock in the price of $575. NCYC is an excellent opportunity to encounter Christ and his church through inspiring talks, music, adoration, liturgy, interactive experiences and service opportunities.

The registration form is available at the button.

PSAT/NMSQT

Sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 1. This is a uniform day and students must be in their assigned rooms by 7:45 a.m. Students who are late may not be permitted in the room to take the exam and this will be counted as an unexcused absence. Room assignments will be sent to the students’ bwhs.org emails along with information pertinent to test day. Freshmen and seniors have this day off from school.

Students will be dismissed at approximately 11:00 a.m. Students who have extended time accommodations may finish by noon. Busing information will be shared with bus riders.

Eucharistic Adoration

Parents Are Invited to Join Us

One of the efforts to nurture and encourage the spiritual life of our students here at Bishop Watterson is weekly exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays. Each week, one grade level is assigned to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament during Theology class. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel at 7:30 a.m. and remains until Benediction at 1:30 p.m.

If you have completed the “Protecting God’s Children” requirements of the Diocese, please click on the button below to sign-up for a particular Holy Hour.
