We are happy to introduce our new faculty and staff members for the 2024-25 school year!
Todd Crowe joins the English staff, teaching grades 9 and 10. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a master’s degree in education in integrated language arts earlier this year. Mr. Crowe did his student teaching at Groveport Madison and Upper Arlington High Schools.
Scott Dempsey, our head girls soccer coach since 2017, joins the staff as an Intervention Specialist. He comes to BWHS from Hilliard Bradley High School where he taught social studies. Mr. Dempsey has 36 years of teaching experience, with the last 34 in the Hilliard City Schools system. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies education from The Ohio State University.
Alejandra Galindo is teaching Spanish IA, Spanish IB and Spanish II. Mrs. Galindo has been teaching Spanish to grades Kindergarten through high school since she earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Vallarta University in Mexico City. She holds a master’s degree in Montessori education from Puerto Rico University and taught Spanish for foreigners at Nebrija University in Spain. Mrs. Galindo has also taught in Brazil and comes to BWHS from her most recent position as Spanish teacher at St. Andrew School.
Susan Mangold is back at BWHS after serving as a long-term substitute teacher for business classes in 2023. This year she is teaching Real Estate, Financial Accounting, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Business Law, Sports Management and Financial Literacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pre-law from St. Joseph’s University and her juris doctor from Widener University School of Law.
Evan Maxson joins the math department to teach Algebra II and Trigonometry and Precalculus. He has 21 years of teaching experience with his most recent post at Hamilton Township High School. Mr. Maxson holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences from Shawnee State University and a master’s in educational administration from Grand Canyon University.
Erin Noss joins the math department to teach Geometry CPI and Geometry CPII. Most recently she taught Algebra I, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Math Applications and Precalculus at Newark Catholic High School. Ms. Noss holds a bachelor’s in AYA integrated mathematics from Bowling Green State University.
Brian Rohrig is teaching CPI Biology and AP Biology, joining the science department from Bellefontaine High School where he taught chemistry and physics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from The Ohio State University and a master’s in curriculum and instruction from Kent State University.
Parisa Roustazadeh returns to Bishop Watterson to teach Chemistry and Biology. She taught physics and astronomy at BWHS previously. She holds a master’s degree in mathematical physics and a doctorate in physics and astronomy from Ohio University. Dr. Roustazadeh is a faculty member at The Ohio State University and collaborates with Columbus State Community College as an adjunct professor.
Jay Schlater ’05 takes the new position of Admissions Associate. For the past 12 years he was Assistant Director of Admissions for Marion Technical College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Ohio University and a master’s in higher education from the University of Dayton.
Megan Shubitowski ’07 Williams joins the Development Department as Director of the Annual Fund. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Wittenberg University. Mrs. Williams spent two years in non-profit fundraising and for the past eight years she has worked in budget and finance operations, most recently as Manager, Operations for Washington Prime Group.
Bailey Worley has taken on the new position of Athletics Assistant-SID. She holds a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology and a master’s in sport management from Ohio Dominican University where she served as a Sports Information Director Graduate Assistant last year.
