Football Team Wins 2nd Straight State Championship

Our football Eagles won the 2025 Division III State Championship on Friday with a 30-0 shutout of Toledo Central Catholic in the championship game in Canton.

Congratulations to Coach Kennedy and the team on back to back title wins!

This is the sixth state championship in the football program's history (1966, 1972, 2002, 2010, 2024, 2025).

We are grateful to our students, parents, alumni and fans who showed up in Canton to cheer on the Eagles!

State Championship Gear

We are working with two local companies on official state championship shirts and sweatshirts. If you're planning to order we would appreciate you patronizing these vendors as a percentage will come back to the team! Thank you for your support.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. Zach Johnson (mr.johnson@bwhs.org).

Semester Finals Schedule

Students with a study hall period or who have already taken a non-core final will be permitted to arrive late/leave early. We will operate on the understanding that they will arrive late if the study hall/non-core class is the start of their day or leave early if the study hall/non-core class is the second period of their day. If you wish for your child to remain at school for the study hall period, please contact the main office. Giving Tuesday Thank You

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Bishop Watterson family, this year’s Giving Tuesday was a tremendous success. On December 2, our community united to support our mission of forming young people in faith, knowledge and service. Your heartfelt contributions are already making an impact on our students and the programs that help them grow.

With strong donor enthusiasm and a $20,000 matching gift, we surpassed $100,000 in support of our school community. This generosity strengthens academic opportunities, enriches student experiences and helps all of our students reach their full potential.

We are truly grateful for your partnership and dedication. Thank you for making this Giving Tuesday one to remember and for helping Bishop Watterson remain the remarkable community it is!

Semester Finals Policy

From Student Handbook

Testing and Absence–Semester Final Exams

Students must be present during all scheduled finals. The only excused absence is one due to extreme illness. A doctor’s note is required for verification. If a student is ill and needs to reschedule an exam, they must contact Vice Principal Heather Law, mrs.law@bwhs.org, for permission and arrangements. Exams will not be rescheduled for vacations, club sports, etc. Absences due to reasons other than illness may result in the student receiving 80% of the grade earned.

Please examine our finals schedule closely and plan vacations accordingly. Inform family members, club coaches, employers, and parish leaders working on service trips/retreats/etc. that students are not available until exams are over. Please do not schedule doctor’s appointments, elective surgery, etc. during this time.

All non-core/elective classes will give 45-minute finals the week of December 8. This includes Music, PE, Arts, Health, Social Studies electives, English electives, Business and Computer classes.

Core classes and all AP classes will still give 90-minute finals the week of December 15. This includes English, Foreign Language, Math, Science, Social Studies and Theology.
